Lady Chargers Fall In OT Thriller To Panthers

The West Noble Lady Chargers rallied back to force overtime to the NorthWood Panthers Friday night at West Noble. The Chargers' sophomore Ava DeLong tied the game at 35 and sent the game into overtime. Sophomore Elyse Mead led the scoring for the Chargers with 21 while DeLong added 9. Cloie Ulrey added 3 while Addyson Burns, Leah Pruitt and Ella Limerick each chipped in with 2. Coach Wiktorowski had this to say about the game. "I was proud of how we competed and kept coming back to force OT when we could have folded. It was a defensive battle by both sides. Turnovers and long stretches without scoring I thought were the 2 biggest deciding factors. They hit a few tough shots and we missed some from close range. But we hit some big free throws and caused some turnovers late. I thought we showed clear improvement and a fuller game of competitiveness than our last one against Columbia City. We will continue to work to develop both our team and individual offense." The Chargers will host Angola next Saturday night at 6pm. Good luck ladies!
