The West Noble Lady Chargers continued to make strides on this young season as they battled the Angola Hornets on Saturday night at West Noble. The Chargers were trailing 33-31 in the last minute of play before the Hornets closed the game with some clutch plays down the stretch. Elyse Mead led the Chargers with 16 while sophomore classmate Ava DeLong had another strong game inside with 7 points and some clutch rebounding. Addyson Burns and Ella Limerick chipped in with 4 each while Cloie Ulrey closed out the scoring with 2. The Chargers will face Hamilton on Monday at 6pm at Hamilton. Good luck ladies! Coach Wik had this to say about the game. "It was a good effort against a very talented team. Defense and 2nd half rebounding gave us a chance tonight. A lot of people contributed. I thought Leah Pruitt helped us off the bench, especially the first half, and Ava DeLong was strong on the boards the second half. Elyse Mead made big plays on both ends when we needed them."
