The West Noble Lady Chargers fell to the Eastside Blazers on Tuesday night in Butler. The Blazers entered the contest fresh off an NECC Tournament Championship from the previous week. Despite the loss, the Chargers continue to show steady improvement as the season progresses. Elyse Mead led West Noble in scoring with 11 points, while Addyson Burns added 5 and Ava DeLong contributed 4. Brooklyn Barden, Ella Limerick, and Cloie Ulrey each finished with 2 points. Following the game, Coach Wik shared his thoughts: “Eastside is the best defensive team we’ve faced this year and they play multiple defenses extremely well. We handled their backcourt pressure much better this week, largely due to the great effort of Addy Burns. Elyse Mead and Ava DeLong were much more aggressive offensively tonight, which is something we need. We struggled at times against their half-court pressure, but I was pleased with the tougher mentality we showed in the second half. Hopefully, playing them twice in a row will help us continue to grow as a team.” The Chargers (7–11) will travel to Garrett on Friday night to take on the Railroaders. Good luck, ladies!
