At Tuesday night’s wrestling match against the Northfield Norsemen, the West Noble High School Athletic Department took time to honor longtime wrestling coach Wes Weimer with a plaque of appreciation. Coach Weimer has served West Noble wrestling for more than 30 years in a variety of roles, including assistant coach, head coach, and volunteer. A 1986 West Noble graduate, he has remained deeply committed to the program since his own graduation. Following this past season, Coach Weimer made the decision to step away from coaching in order to spend more time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Beyond athletics, Wes also gives back to the community through his service with the Sparta Township Fire Department. His wife, Melissa, along with several family members, were in attendance Tuesday night for the surprise presentation. Thank you to Wes and his family for their decades of dedication, sacrifice, and support of Charger Wrestling.
