By Mike Deak Make the state finals, get the treatment! West Noble sophomore wrestler Brogan Parks has qualified and will compete as a 190-pounder at the IHSAA Boys Wrestling State Finals, and got the customary tour of the schools this morning. Parks is a NECC, sectional and regional champion, and finished fourth at the Fort Wayne Semi-state last weekend. His draw for the state is going to be a monumental one, paired against overall No. 1 seed Mikey White of Lawrence North (43-0), who coincidentally is ranked No. 1 in the country by several publications. The 190-pound bracket is absolutely loaded, with seven of the top eight ranked contenders alive, Parks (35-6) himself checking in at No. 27 in the Indiana Mat rankings. The Parade of Champions at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis will begin at 2:30 p.m., with brackets for 150-285 pounds starting at 3 p.m. Visit ihsaa.org for all the details on how you can watch and follow along! Why not Friday be the perfect time for the biggest upset in the country? Let's go, Brogan!
