West Noble Varsity Chargers Fall To NorthWood Despite Strong Effort From Trey Shisler By GameChanger Media Trey Shisler collected three hits in three at bats, but West Noble Varsity Chargers lost to NorthWood 14-4 on Monday. Shisler doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the first inning. NorthWood got on the board in the top of the first inning after West Noble Varsity Chargers committed an error, and Rondeau singled to center field, each scoring one run. NorthWood added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Blackford singled to the left side of the infield, Bogan walked, and Miller singled down the left field line, each scoring one run. West Noble Varsity Chargers scored one run in the bottom of the second on a solo home run to left field by McKale Bottles. NorthWood scored five runs on four hits in the top of the third inning. Reed singled, scoring one run, Weaver singled, scoring one run, Bogan tripled, scoring two runs, and Miller singled, scoring one run. Blackford earned the win for NorthWood. The starting pitcher gave up eight hits and four runs over four innings, striking out nine and walking two. Cameron Eash pitched three innings in relief for West Noble Varsity Chargers. The pitcher surrendered eight hits and nine runs while, striking out none and walking four. Rolando Villanueva took the loss for West Noble Varsity Chargers. The starter went one and two-thirds innings, surrendering five runs (three earned) on four hits, striking out two and walking one. Trevor Steele collected two hits for West Noble Varsity Chargers in two at bats. NorthWood piled up 13 hits in the game. Miller, Weaver, Bogan, and Reed each collected two hits for NorthWood. Miller, Rains, and Bogan each drove in two runs for NorthWood. Ransberger led NorthWood with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Reed stole two bases. NorthWood ran wild on the base paths, collecting five stolen bases for the game. Next up for West Noble Varsity Chargers is a game against Hamilton on Wednesday.
