West Noble Varsity Lady Chargers Stymied By NorthWood By GameChanger Media West Noble Varsity Lady Chargers couldn't keep up with NorthWood and fell 16-1 on Monday. NorthWood jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after L Payl grounded out, scoring one run, O Roeder drew a walk, scoring one run, R Steven tripled, scoring three runs, and V Vega tripled, scoring two runs. NorthWood added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after M Lambert singled down the right field line, T Marshall grounded out, and Steven walked, each scoring one run. NorthWood scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the third inning. P Sears drew a walk, scoring one run, Lambert homered to center field, scoring three runs, and Roeder singled, scoring one run. Payl earned the win for NorthWood. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and one run over three innings, striking out three and walking two. Marley Mast pitched three innings in relief for West Noble Varsity Lady Chargers. The right-handed pitcher gave up eight hits and nine runs (eight earned) while, striking out three and walking six. Izzy Beers took the loss for West Noble Varsity Lady Chargers. The hurler went one inning, giving up seven runs on five hits, striking out one and walking three. Natalie Gow led West Noble Varsity Lady Chargers with one hit in two at bats. West Noble Varsity Lady Chargers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Brynn Weigold made the most plays with five. NorthWood amassed 13 hits in the game. Lambert provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led NorthWood with four runs batted in. The center fielder went 3-for-3 on the day. Leadoff hitter Vega led NorthWood with four hits in four at bats. Roeder paced NorthWood with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game. NorthWood didn't commit a single error in the field. Steven had the most chances in the field with six. West Noble Varsity Lady Chargers play at home on Tuesday against Hamilton in their next game.
