West Noble Varsity Chargers Earn Walk-Off Win Over Prairie Heights By GameChanger Media West Noble Varsity Chargers took Monday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 5-4 walk-off victory over Prairie Heights. The game was tied at four in the bottom of the ninth when Mason Taylor singled, scoring one run. A walk by Matthew Trinklein put West Noble Varsity Chargers on the board in the bottom of the second. Prairie Heights took the lead, 4-1, in the top of the fifth thanks to two errors. Taylor grounded into a fielder's choice, which helped West Noble Varsity Chargers tie the game at four in the bottom of the seventh. Joe Button earned the win for West Noble Varsity Chargers. The hurler surrendered one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out six and walking two. Reed Dempsey took the loss for Prairie Heights. The pitcher went one inning, giving up one run on two hits, striking out two and walking two. Trevor Steele started the game for West Noble Varsity Chargers. The starter gave up one hit and four runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out eight and walking four. Joel Graber led things off on the hill for Prairie Heights. The hurler allowed one hit and one run over five innings, striking out seven and walking three. Taylor provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led West Noble Varsity Chargers with two runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-5 on the day. Trevor Martin, Trey Shisler, Cameron Eash, Taylor, Button, and Adrian Cantu each collected one hit for West Noble Varsity Chargers. Martin paced West Noble Varsity Chargers with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Shisler stole two bases. West Noble Varsity Chargers stole five bases in the game. Devan Castner and Nathan Curtis each collected one hit for Prairie Heights. Prairie Heights had a strong eye at the plate, amassing six walks for the game.
