West Noble dropped a competitive NECC matchup to Fairfield, falling 4-1 in varsity play to move to 6-1 on the season. The Chargers’ lone point came at #1 singles, where Tali Riegsecker turned in a strong performance with a 6-2, 6-2 win. Fairfield claimed the remaining singles spots, as Ava DeLong battled at #2 singles and Marly Shrock competed at #3. In doubles play, Fairfield secured both points. West Noble’s pairs competed hard, with Mya Emmert and Darcy Ritchie at #2 doubles pushing through tough sets while the #1 doubles team of Beverly Vizcaino and Lilly Stout were edged out in two tough sets. The JV match was also closely contested, with Fairfield edging West Noble 3-2. Aleena French and Macie Miller both won their singles matches while Evelyn Anglin lost a tough set 8-5. The Falcons then took both JV doubles matches. West Noble will look to bounce back in their next NECC contest at Westview on Thursday as they continue a strong start to the season. Great work ladies!
