Game Goes Down To The Wire As West Noble Varsity Chargers Loses To Westview On Final Play By GameChanger Media A walk-off left West Noble Varsity Chargers on the wrong end of a 9-8 defeat to Westview on Tuesday. Westview were down 8-7 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Blake Hostetler singled, scoring two runs. West Noble Varsity Chargers lost despite out-hitting Westview eight to six. Trevor Steele, Cameron Eash, and Adrian Cantu each collected two hits for West Noble Varsity Chargers. West Noble Varsity Chargers got on the board in the first inning after Mason Taylor hit a sacrifice fly, scoring two runs. Westview tied the game up in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles. Westview tied the game at two on a single by Jaxon Miller. In the top of the fifth, West Noble Varsity Chargers broke up the tie when an error scored two runs. Then a sacrifice fly by Eash followed to extend the lead to 5-2. Westview flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the seventh, scoring seven runs on two hits to take the lead, 9-8. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Owen Weinberg that drove in two. Jaxon Christner earned the win for Westview. The hurler surrendered one hit and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking none. Rolando Villanueva took the loss for West Noble Varsity Chargers. The hurler went six innings, surrendering six runs (five earned) on four hits, striking out six and walking four. Weinberg started on the mound for Westview. The starter allowed seven hits and eight runs (three earned) over six innings, striking out seven and walking three. Trevor Martin, Eash, Taylor, Joe Button, and Cantu each drove in one run for West Noble Varsity Chargers. Steele stole two bases. West Noble Varsity Chargers stole six bases in the game. West Noble Varsity Chargers turned one double play in the game. Weinberg and Hostetler each drove in two runs for Westview. Elijah Zolman led Westview with three hits in four at bats. Brendan Miller paced Westview with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game.
