West Noble Varsity Lady Chargers Fall After Strong Showing By Churubusco By GameChanger Media West Noble Varsity Lady Chargers had trouble keeping up with Churubusco in a 21-3 loss on Thursday. Churubusco got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Olivia Konger singled, scoring two runs, Lydia Parker singled, scoring two runs, Emerson Geiger doubled, scoring two runs, and a passed ball scored one run. Churubusco added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Parker doubled to center field, JayLynn Rosswurm walked, and Jayda Oler walked, each scoring one run. Churubusco added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Laila Partsch singled to center field, and AvaLynn Liebing grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run. Churubusco scored nine runs on seven hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Konger doubled, scoring two runs, Parker doubled, scoring one run, Shae Gaff drew a walk, scoring one run, Liebing singled, scoring one run, Kyrah Jasper drew a walk, scoring one run, Emma Lemish singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Partsch laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run. Konger earned the win for Churubusco. The starting pitcher gave up one hit and two runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out six and walking three. Marley Mast took the loss for West Noble Varsity Lady Chargers. The righty went one inning, surrendering 10 runs (nine earned) on seven hits, striking out none and walking five. Brooklyn Barden went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Churubusco amassed 17 hits in the game. Parker and Konger each collected three hits for Churubusco. Parker and Konger each drove in three runs for Churubusco. Alyssa Marks, Partsch, and Lemish each collected multiple hits for Churubusco. Churubusco had patience at the plate, piling up 11 walks for the game. Ava Marks, Gaff, and Shelby Tigner led the team with two free passes each. Churubusco turned one double play in the game.
