Cameron Eash collected three hits in five at bats, as West Noble Varsity Chargers defeated Churubusco 11-6 on Thursday. Eash singled in the seventh inning, doubled in the second inning, and singled in the sixth inning. Churubusco got on the board in the first inning after Deryan Gordon singled, scoring one run. In the top of the second inning, West Noble Varsity Chargers went back into the lead after McKale Bottles doubled to center field, and Adrian Cantu laid down a sacrifice bunt, each scoring one run. West Noble Varsity Chargers added one run in the third. Bottles singled to the left side of the infield, making the score 3-1. Churubusco tied the game in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a hit by a pitch, and a double by Aaron Norris. West Noble Varsity Chargers flipped the game on its head in the top of the seventh, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 11-6. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Eash that drove in two. Bottles earned the win for West Noble Varsity Chargers. The hurler gave up two hits and zero runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out none and walking none. #41 took the loss for Churubusco. The hurler went one inning, surrendering five runs (four earned) on four hits, striking out two and walking one. Joe Button started the game for West Noble Varsity Chargers. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and five runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking seven. Drake Richards stepped on the hill first for Churubusco. The starter surrendered four hits and four runs (three earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out five and walking five. Matthew Trinklein appeared in relief for West Noble Varsity Chargers. West Noble Varsity Chargers accumulated 12 hits in the game. Bottles went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Trevor Martin and Trinklein each collected multiple hits for West Noble Varsity Chargers. Trey Shisler led West Noble Varsity Chargers with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Bottles stole two bases. West Noble Varsity Chargers stole six bases in the game. Gordon and Weston Skinner each collected two hits for Churubusco. Norris went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Brody Lawrence led Churubusco with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. Skinner and Brady Knott each stole multiple bases for Churubusco.
