The West Noble girls track team turned in a strong performance at the Turtletown Classic, finishing an impressive 3rd overall against a competitive field. Leading the way was senior standout Gimena Aguilar, who earned Outstanding Athlete of the Meet honors with a dominant day across multiple events. Aguilar captured 1st place in both the 100m (12.98) and 200m (26.75) while also adding a 3rd-place finish in the high jump, showcasing her versatility and elite sprinting ability . The Chargers had several other key contributors throughout the meet: The 4x100 relay team placed 2nd, continuing to be a major point scorer Victoria Mendoza finished 4th in the 100m hurdles, adding valuable points Trinity Parson (5th in the 1600) and Lanie Martin (4th in the 800) led the distance crew with strong finishes The 4x400 relay added points with a 7th-place finish In the field events, Kayle Jordan won the shot put, delivering a huge first-place performance for the Chargers Elyse Mead contributed in multiple events, including a top-6 finish in the long jump and points in the sprints Overall, it was a balanced team effort with strong performances in sprints, distance, relays, and field events. The Chargers’ depth and standout individual performances—highlighted by Aguilar’s exceptional day—powered West Noble to a well-earned 3rd place team finish.
