Chargers Top Falcons In NECC Boys Track Battle

In a showdown between two undefeated NECC West Division teams, **West Noble delivered a strong all-around performance to defeat Fairfield 78–54**, claiming control of the NECC West division race on their home track. West Noble set the tone early behind standout sprinting from **Dustin Richardson**, who swept the 100m (11.33) and 200m (23.07) while also winning the high jump. His versatility helped spark a balanced Chargers attack that produced points across nearly every event. The Chargers dominated in several key areas: * **Hurdles:** Lucas Conway led a 1–2 finish in the 110 hurdles and added another win in the 300 hurdles. Freshman Jackson Christlieb was impressive again with a1st place finish in the 400 while placing 2nd in the 110 hurdles. * **Distance:** Graysen Ruch won the 1600m, while Nathan Troxel Gonzalez captured the 800m and helped secure the 4x800 relay victory. * **Relays:** West Noble won the 4x100 and 4x800 relays, showing depth and teamwork. * **Field Events:** Xy'mire Barnes-Bridges (long jump) and Ethan Yates (discus) added important wins. Yates set the West Noble School record in Discus with a throw of 160' 9.5" Fairfield kept the meet competitive with strong efforts of their own. They were led by: * A win in the **3200m (Evan Correll)** * A victory in the **4x400 relay** * A sweep of the top two spots in **shot put** Despite Fairfield’s strengths in the distance and throwing events, West Noble’s depth and ability to secure multiple top finishes proved to be the difference. **Overall, it was a great win for West Noble**, as they handed Fairfield their first NECC West loss and remained unbeaten in NECC West division competition.
