Panthers Edge Chargers In Tennis

Prairie Heights edged West Noble 3–2 in a tightly contested varsity match. West Noble earned two varsity wins. At No. 1 singles, Tali Riegsecker led the way with a strong 6–3, 6–1 victory. The Chargers also picked up a key point at No. 2 doubles, where Aubrey Hilbish and Darcy Ritchie battled to a 7–5, 7–5 win over Nevaeh Orr and Laken Mosier. Prairie Heights secured the team victory by winning the other three courts. Ava DeLong lost to Kyleah Carlin at No. 2 singles 4-6, 0-6, Marly Shrock fell to Landry Byler at No. 3 singles, and Prairie Heights clinched the match at No. 1 doubles with a win over West Noble's Beverly Vizcaino and Lilly Stout 6-4, 6-0. In junior varsity action, West Noble came out on top 2–1, adding a positive finish for the Chargers despite the narrow varsity loss. Mya Emmert won 6-2 and Macie Miller and Bryza Valenzuela won at doubles 6-2. The Chargers (9-4) host Wawasee on Monday at 4:30pm. Good luck ladies. Overall, it was a competitive night, with Prairie Heights taking the varsity 3–2 and West Noble winning the JV 2–1.
