Chargers Blank Warriors In Tennis

West Noble delivered an impressive performance on Monday, sweeping Wawasee 5-0 in varsity play on an extremely windy day. The Chargers are now 10-4 on the season. The Chargers were strong from the top of the lineup, starting with Tali Riegsecker, who controlled her match at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Scarlett Hardy. At No. 2, Ava DeLong continued the momentum, defeating Charlotte Kompagne 6-1, 6-2. Mya Emmert secured another Charger victory at No. 3 singles, topping Makayelynn Toumey 6-1, 6-7 (4-7), 6-2. The doubles teams capped off the sweep with strong play. At No. 1 doubles, Beverly Vizcaino and Lilly Stout defeated Carissa Knepper and Kloee Sinn 6-1, 6-3. The No. 2 team of Aubrey Hilbish and Darcy Ritchie dominated their match, earning a 6-0, 6-2 win over Elle Eltzroth and Bree Kitson. In the JV matches, Marly Shrock earned an 8-2 win over Sophia Smith at No. 1 single, while Aleena French matched that score with an 8-2 victory over Audrey Wallach at No. 2. Lorelei Valenzuela and Estreya DeAlva also picked up singles victories for the Chargers JV. Macie Miller and Bryza Valenzuela picked up an 8-1 victory at #1 doubles for the JV as they defeated the Warriors 5-2. Evelyn Anglin lost a tough tiebreaker at 3 singles while the doubles team of Nataly Calderon and Britney Coba were edged out by the Warriors 6-1. Great work tonight ladies!
