Trey Shisler collected three hits in four at bats, but West Noble Varsity Chargers lost to East Noble 7-6 on Monday. Shisler hit a solo home run to center field in the first inning, tripled in the second inning, and singled in the sixth inning. A solo home run to center field by Shisler put West Noble Varsity Chargers on the board in the top of the first. West Noble Varsity Chargers added two runs in the second after Shisler tripled to right field. East Noble tied the game in the bottom of the fourth thanks to a sacrifice fly by Easton Kline, a double by Ian Ramey, and a single by Rylan Hathaway. In the top of the fifth, West Noble Varsity Chargers broke up the tie when Cameron Eash doubled, scoring one run. Then a walk by McKale Bottles followed to extend the lead to 5-3. East Noble took the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning after Henry Prater tripled to right field, Hayden Mitchener singled to center field, Kline singled to right field, and Luke Koons walked, each scoring one run. Prater earned the win for East Noble. The hurler gave up two hits and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out six and walking none. Joe Button took the loss for West Noble Varsity Chargers. The reliever went two-thirds of an inning, allowing four runs (three earned) on three hits, striking out two and walking three. Mason Taylor stepped on the hill first for West Noble Varsity Chargers. The starter allowed 10 hits and three runs over four innings, striking out four and walking one. Trey Sparkman stepped on the bump first for East Noble. The pitcher gave up nine hits and five runs over four innings, striking out four and walking three. West Noble Varsity Chargers tallied 11 hits in the game. Trevor Martin and Shisler were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for West Noble Varsity Chargers. West Noble Varsity Chargers stole four bases in the game. East Noble amassed 13 hits in the game. Leadoff hitter Mitchener led East Noble with three hits in five at bats. Kline led East Noble with two runs batted in. The shortstop went 1-for-3 on the day. Jack Slater, Jaycob Fox, and Hathaway each collected multiple hits for East Noble. Mitchener stole two bases.
