West Noble turned in another strong performance at the 2026 NECC Boys Track & Field Championships, highlighted by individual conference championships, several top-three finishes, and strong relay performances. Dustin Richardson led the Chargers with an NECC title in the high jump, clearing 6’5” to claim the conference championship. He also added a 3rd-place finish in the 100 meter dash in 11.76 and anchored the 4x100 relay team to a 4th-place finish in 44.05. Xy’Mire Barnes-Bridges had an outstanding night for West Noble as well, placing 2nd in the long jump with a leap of 20’9.5” and adding a 4th-place finish in the high jump at 5’10”. He also contributed on the 4x100 relay team and competed in the 100 meter dash. The Chargers were especially strong in the field events. Ethan Yates earned All-NECC honors in both throwing events, finishing 3rd in discus with a throw of 142’0” and 6th in the shot put at 43’11.5”. On the track, West Noble’s distance crew delivered a solid performance in the 4x800 relay as the team of Graysen Ruch, Daniel Trinklein, Caleb Peterson, and Nathan Troxel Gonzalez placed 3rd overall in a time of 8:29.80. Ruch also scored individually with a 5th-place finish in the 1600 meters in 4:35.51. Freshman Jackson Christlieb continued his impressive season by placing 4th in the 400 meters with a time of 51.75 while also running on the Chargers’ 4x100 relay team. Lucas Conway added a point in the 110 hurdles with an 8th-place finish. West Noble showed depth throughout the meet and continued to build momentum heading toward the IHSAA tournament series.
