West Noble continued its strong season with a 5-0 victory over Central Noble in girls tennis action. The Chargers swept all five varsity matches in straight sets while also earning a 5-0 JV victory. At #1 singles, undefeated sophomore Natalia Riegsecker stayed in top form with a commanding 6-0, 6-0 win. Fellow sophomore Ava DeLong followed with another shutout performance at #2 singles, winning 6-0, 6-0. Junior Marly Shrock completed the singles sweep with a solid 6-2, 6-4 victory at #3 singles. West Noble also controlled doubles play. Beverly Vizcaino and Mya Emmert earned a 6-2, 6-2 win at #1 doubles, while Darcy Ritchie and Aubrey Hilbish picked up a 6-2, 6-1 victory at #2 doubles. The Chargers also had several strong JV performances. Aleena French won 8-2, Evelyn Anglin earned an 8-4 victory, Lilly Stout and Macie Miller teamed up for an 8-2 doubles win, and Lorelei Valenzuela added an 8-4 extra match victory. With the win, West Noble improved to 14-4 on the season. The Chargers will host Whitko Tuesday as they continue the championship match from Saturday’s West Noble Invitational that got rained out about 30 minutes into the match.
