Chargers Fall To Warriors In Baseball

By GameChanger Media West Noble Varsity Chargers lost to Wawasee Varsity Warriors 5-3 on Saturday. Wawasee Varsity Warriors were the first to get on the board in the first when Ryan Mack singled, scoring one run. A double by Joe Button gave West Noble Varsity Chargers the lead, 2-1, in the top of the second. Jake Farber singled , which helped Wawasee Varsity Warriors tie the game at two in the bottom of the fourth. Wawasee Varsity Warriors jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning after Kyhan Heisler laid down a sacrifice bunt, and Luke Lehman singled down the right field line, each scoring one run. Logan Hoffer earned the win for Wawasee Varsity Warriors. The hurler surrendered one hit and two runs over three innings, striking out three and walking three. Mason Taylor took the loss for West Noble Varsity Chargers. The hurler went four and two-thirds innings, giving up four runs on six hits, striking out five and walking four. Button, the number nine hitter for West Noble Varsity Chargers, led the way with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Trey Shisler, McKale Bottles, and Button each collected one hit for West Noble Varsity Chargers. Shisler stole two bases. West Noble Varsity Chargers ran wild on the base paths, accumulating four stolen bases for the game. Wawasee Varsity Warriors piled up nine hits in the game. Everett Guy and Mason Mckibben each collected three hits for Wawasee Varsity Warriors. Farber, Lehman, Mack, Heisler, and Mckibben each drove in one run for Wawasee Varsity Warriors. Wawasee Varsity Warriors had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Garrett Tittle and Mack led the team with two walks each.
