Chargers Top Bremen In Volleyball

The West Noble Chargers continued their impressive start to the 2026 volleyball season Tuesday night, sweeping the Bremen Lions in both varsity and JV action. In the varsity match, the Chargers controlled the action from the start, rolling to a 25-6, 25-1, 25-19 victory to improve to 3-0 on the season. Coach Alison Mead was pleased with the Chargers’ strong serving, solid passing, and offensive execution throughout the match. Freshman Lydia Mead led a balanced West Noble attack with 10 kills, while Izzy Beers added 5 kills and Ava DeLong chipped in 3. Ella Limerick directed the Charger offense with 16 assists while also leading the team with 8 digs and adding 4 service aces. Kaylin Slone contributed 5 assists. At the service line, the Chargers kept Bremen under pressure throughout the evening. Reagan Eash and Limerick each recorded 4 aces, while Beers added 3. Beers also contributed 4 digs to go along with her 5 kills. The JV Chargers also remained perfect on the young season, defeating Bremen 25-15, 25-10 to improve their record to 3-0. Allie Stabler and Amenthis Shaffer led the JV attack with 4 kills apiece, while Claire Shearer recorded 3 kills and Janie Sitts added 2. Lauren Coy ran the offense and finished with an impressive 13 assists. Brooklyn Barden had a big night from the service line, leading the Chargers with 8 aces while also recording a team-high 4 digs. Stabler and Shaffer each added 3 aces, while Aliyea Stauffer finished with 3 digs and Shaffer added 2. Both Charger squads are now 3-0 and will be back in action Thursday when West Noble travels to Fort Wayne Concordia. The JV match is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m., with varsity to follow.
