The West Noble boys soccer team turned in an impressive performance Thursday night, defeating the Eastside Blazers 9-0. The Chargers controlled the match from start to finish, generating 17 shots while holding Eastside to just three. West Noble built a comfortable advantage in the opening half before continuing to apply pressure after halftime. The match eventually ended early due to the mercy rule. Leo Lopez led the West Noble attack with three goals and three assists. Christian Hernandez added two goals, while Luis Campos, Angel Cantillo, Emanuel Gutierrez and Marco Macias each found the back of the net once. Doyan Romero and Axel Sanchez each contributed an assist for the Chargers. West Noble's defense was equally impressive. The Chargers limited Eastside's scoring opportunities throughout the match and recorded the shutout. Goalkeeper Jose Bonilla made three saves to keep the Blazers off the scoreboard. West Noble will look to build on the strong performance as the Chargers continue the early portion of their 2026 season as they play Bishop Dwenger Saturday night at Charger Field beginning with a JV contest at 4:30pm followed by the varsity match at 6pm.
