West Noble opened the 2026 football season Friday night by hosting Northridge in a high-scoring matchup. Both offenses started quickly, but the Raiders pulled ahead late in the first half and went on to defeat the Chargers, 62-32. Despite the loss, the young Chargers displayed plenty of promise. West Noble produced 425 yards of total offense, recorded 23 first downs and controlled the football for more than 30 minutes. Sophomore quarterback Jackson Christlieb completed 15 of 21 passes for 202 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 100 yards and two scores. Junior Xy’Mire Barnes-Bridges contributed 67 rushing yards and a touchdown while catching three passes for 42 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown reception from Christlieb. Junior Brogan Parks added a rushing touchdown and caught three passes for 39 yards. Brody Mast led the receiving corps with three catches for 67 yards, while Caleb Saggars collected three receptions for 36 yards. Brayden Limerick also caught three passes for 18 yards. The Chargers were tied with Northridge, 14-14, after the opening quarter and trailed 35-20 at halftime. West Noble continued to battle and pulled within 41-32 late in the third quarter before Northridge scored 21 unanswered points in the final period. West Noble will look to rebound next Friday when the Chargers travel to Wawasee. Go Chargers!
