The West Noble Boys started their season with a strong showing at the Elkhart Christian Academy Hokum Karem Invitational. The top 8 runners for each team were paired with a teammate to create two-man teams with the top 3 team pair times being combined for a final total team time to determine the final team standings. WNCC ran strong enough to finish 3rd as a team behind Northwood, who came in 1st, and Goshen, who finished 2nd. The duo of Graysen Ruch and Caleb Peterson finished 3rd overall with a time of 32:04 while Daniel Trinklein and Xadrian Hofmeister finished in 11th place with a time of 33:06. Braxton Kurtz and Layne Targgart finished in 19th place in 35:35 and Rigo Bonilla and Andrew Kaiser brought home our varsity team finishing 26th in 39:08. Jose Mendoza and Valentin Mendoza performed outstandingly in the JV race finishing in 28th with a 49:38. WNCC runs at the Noble County Challenge this Tuesday for their first 5k race this season.
