West Noble Wins Noble County Cross Country Challenge

The West Noble boys and girls cross country teams traveled to Oak Farm today to compete in the 1st Annual Noble County Cross Country Challenge against East Noble, Central Noble and Oak Farm. West Noble's boys delivered a strong, balanced performance to defeat East Noble, 19–42. Graysen Ruch led the entire field, winning the race in 18:14.81. Caleb Peterson followed with an impressive runner-up finish in 18:35.40, edging East Noble’s Ian Burkhart by just 0.23 seconds. Daniel Trinklein gave the Chargers three runners among the first four finishers, placing fourth in 18:46.20. Braxten Kurtz finished seventh in 19:36.08, and Xadrian Hofmeister completed West Noble’s scoring five by placing ninth in 19:47.33. West Noble’s scoring runners: Graysen Ruch — 1st, 18:14.81 Caleb Peterson — 2nd, 18:35.40 Daniel Trinklein — 4th, 18:46.20 Braxten Kurtz — 7th, 19:36.08 Xadrian Hofmeister — 9th, 19:47.33 The Chargers placed all five scoring runners in the overall top nine, with only 1:32 separating their first and fifth finishers. Layne Targgart added a 10th-place finish in 19:58.96, giving West Noble six runners under 20 minutes. East Noble’s Lynden Boese won the race in 21:27.89, followed by teammate Gracyn Koons in 21:56.55. West Noble then took control by claiming the next six team positions. Karla Dominguez led the Chargers, finishing third overall in 22:09.42. Lynden Chordas placed fourth in 22:17.25, followed by Victoria Mendoza in fifth at 22:33.71, Margarita Marin in sixth at 22:46.68 and Jacqueline Silva in seventh at 22:51.60. West Noble’s five scoring runners finished only 42 seconds apart, giving the Chargers the depth needed to overcome East Noble’s top two finishers. Monet Bieberich added another strong performance, placing eighth in 23:01.60. Other West Noble finishers included Olivia Troxel in 27:02.60, Maryana Troxel in 27:20.20, Jennifer Salas Gonzalez in 27:40.06 and Allison Giltner in 29:08.18.
