West Noble boys varsity soccer team broke open a close match with four second-half goals to earn a convincing 6-1 victory over Angola. The Chargers led 2-1 at halftime before taking complete control after the break. Emanuel Gutierrez recorded a hat trick to lead the West Noble attack. Leo Lopez added two goals, while Marco Macias scored once. Joel Moreno and Doyan Romero each contributed an assist. West Noble generated approximately 28 shots and held a sizable 8-2 advantage in corner kicks. Goalkeepers Jose Bonilla and Ramiro Pedroza combined for five saves, with Pedroza recording four. The Chargers’ passing and overall play improved considerably during the second half. Angola’s only goal came on a header following a corner kick. Despite the lopsided final score, West Noble will look to sharpen its man-marking and begin matches with greater intensity. The Chargers built a 2-0 halftime advantage and added two more goals during the second half. Cesar Munoz led the attack with a hat trick, while Jaime Fernandez scored West Noble’s other goal. Braxton Smith recorded two assists, with Brandon Rodriguez and Johann Reyes each contributing one. Goalkeeper Jacob Coats made three saves for the Chargers. West Noble outshot Angola 14-3 and held a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks during the strong all-around performance. Great work guys! The boys host Wawasee Saturday night. The Jv match will start at 5pm and the Varsity will follow!
