The West Noble girls were cut loose on a 5K course this season and did not disappoint. The Chargers took 2nd place with a team score of 59 at this morning's Panther Run Invite hosted by Prairie Heights. Preseason Top 25 Bishop Dwenger claimed the team victory thanks to a fantastic pack effort leading to a low score of 25. Third place was Leo (82), followed by New Prairie (96) and Busco (109). The girls had a team average time of 20:50 for their varsity top 7. This is 30 seconds faster per runner than their average from last year. Several girls set a personal best or came within a few seconds of one. Leading the way with a 4th place finish was Sophomore Karla Dominguez who completed the hilly course in 20:08. Fellow Sophomore Lynden Chordas ran a 20:40 and finished 8th. Freshman Sara Aguilar got her high school career off to a hot start with a 10th place finish in 20:46. A pack of Chargers capped off the Top 25 led by Victoria Mendoza (18th in 21:14), Jacky Silva (22nd in 21:23), and Maggie Marin (24th in 21:34). Monet Bieberich finished in 30th (22:25) to bring in WN's varsity 7. Other finishers for WN included Mya Emmert (47th), Olivia Troxel (75th), Maryana Troxel (80th), Jennifer Salas Gonzalez (84th), Allison Giltner (97th), and Ali Bloss (102nd).
