West Noble Hosts Boys Tennis Super Dual LIGONIER — West Noble hosted the 2026 Boys Tennis Super Dual on Saturday, bringing together the Chargers, Bremen, Huntington North, Lakeland, Manchester and Central Noble for a full day of competition. West Noble opened the day against a strong Bremen squad and fell 5-0. Bremen swept all five positions in straight sets, including wins over Zane Mitchell at No. 1 singles and Wyatt Blotkamp at No. 2 singles. The Chargers bounced back in their second match against Manchester. Mitchell turned in a strong performance at No. 1 singles, defeating Braxton Martin 6-1, 6-1, while Blotkamp rolled past Tristan Sellers 6-1, 6-0. With both teams forfeiting No. 3 singles, the match came down to the doubles positions. Manchester won both, including a tight three-set battle at No. 2 doubles where Brayden Brewster and Lucas Stringfellow battled Gatsby Gawthrop and Tate Harding before falling 3-6, 6-2, 11-9. With the teams tied 2-2 in contested matches, West Noble was awarded the team victory on the tiebreaker, allowing the Chargers to advance to the second-place crossover match. There, West Noble faced Lakeland. The Lakers finished the day with a 5-0 victory over the Chargers. Mitchell fell 8-1 to Logan Curtis at No. 1 singles, Blotkamp dropped an 8-0 decision to Matthew Miller at No. 2, and Brewster fell 8-0 to Adrian Troyer at No. 3. Jared Glick and Zeb Eicher were defeated 8-1 by Will Hofer and Bradley Miller at No. 1 doubles, while West Noble forfeited No. 2 doubles. The championship match featured Bremen and Huntington North and proved to be the closest battle of the day. Huntington North edged Bremen 3-2, getting victories at No. 2 singles, No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles. Bremen picked up wins at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. Lakeland finished with the second-place pool victory, while Central Noble defeated Manchester 4-0 in the third-place pool crossover. For West Noble, Mitchell and Blotkamp highlighted the day with singles victories against Manchester as the Chargers finished the Super Dual 1-2.
