The West Noble girls golf team placed sixth at the 2026 Northeast Corner Conference Tournament, highlighted by All-NECC performances from Lilyen Lindsay and Nevaeh Gantt. Lindsay led the Chargers with an 18-hole score of 96, shooting a 47 on the front nine and a 49 on the back. Her strong round placed her fifth overall and comfortably inside the top 15 needed to earn All-NECC recognition. Gantt joined Lindsay on the All-Conference team after carding a 99. She improved by three strokes on the back nine, following an opening 51 with a 48 to finish ninth overall. West Noble finished with a team score of 463. Konstence Hoover contributed a 127, while Andrea Gallardo added a 141 to complete the Chargers’ four-player team score. Angola captured the NECC team championship with a score of 377. Garrett finished second at 416, followed by Churubusco at 418, Fairfield at 431 and Central Noble at 437. Angola’s Bri Metcalf earned tournament medalist honors with an 86. Churubusco’s Sarah Peer placed second with an 88, while Garrett’s Abbi Werling finished third with an 89. The tournament was especially memorable for West Noble as Lindsay and Gantt both delivered top-10 finishes against the conference’s best golfers. Their steady play throughout the round earned them well-deserved places on the 2026 All-NECC team and provided a strong highlight for the Chargers’ conference tournament appearance. The Lady Chargers will compete next Friday in the IHSAA Sectional Golf Meet at Meadow Valley Golf Course. Good luck ladies and congratulations on an outstanding day.
