The West Noble girls soccer team battled until the final whistle Tuesday night but came up just short in a 4-3 loss to Argos. The Chargers generated several quality scoring opportunities throughout the match and found the net three times. Crystal Villalobos led West Noble with two goals, while Paulette Garcia added a goal to account for the Chargers’ scoring. West Noble also received assists from Carolina Garcia and Allison Recendiz. In goal, Alessandra Torres recorded seven saves as the Chargers continued to battle against the Argos attack. Despite the loss, West Noble remained within striking distance and continued to create opportunities to pull even. “Another hard-fought game where we gave ourselves every opportunity to win, but we just couldn’t find the back of the net when we needed to,” the West Noble Chris Macias said. “I’m proud of the fight and effort this team continues to show.” The Chargers will look to build on that effort as they head into the final portion of the regular season. The Chargers will host LaVille on Tuesday at 6pm as the Chargers will honor their seniors for senior night!
