The WN girls faced their largest race so far this season down in Huntington for the New Haven Classic. Nearly 230 runners competed in the big school race (Purple Division). It was a beautiful day to run! Karla Dominguez (19th), Lynden Chordas (34th), and Victoria Mendoza (38th) took home some hardware. As a team they finished 6th out of 28 schools. A mere 3 points behind Snider for a Top 5 team awards. State ranked #3 Homestead won. Next up is a big one, the NECC meet at Angola Saturday morning. Graysen Ruch led the West Noble High School boys cross country team with a seventh-place finish in 17:07.30 as the Chargers placed 10th among 29 teams. West Noble scored 344 points, finishing 10 points ahead of New Haven. Daniel Trinklein was West Noble’s second runner across the line in 18:21.30, followed by Caleb Peterson in 19:01.90. Layne Targgart ran 19:25.50, and Braxten Kurtz completed the Chargers’ scoring five in 19:37.50. Xadrian Hofmeister finished close behind Kurtz in 19:39.40, while Nelson Campos ran 20:07.70. Jose Hernandez (20:23.50), Rigoberto Bonilla (20:33.60), Andrew Kaiser (22:30.00) and Jose Mendoza (27:56.60) also competed for West Noble.
