The West Noble varsity volleyball team earned a convincing road victory Tuesday night, sweeping Wawasee 3-0 by scores of 25-7, 25-12 and 25-18. The Chargers are now 23-3 on the season. Elyse Mead led the Chargers’ offense with 13 kills, followed by Reagan Eash with nine and Lydia Mead with eight. Ella Limerick distributed 35 assists to help fuel the balanced attack. Defensively, Lydia Mead recorded seven digs, while Addy Burns and Darcy Ritchie each contributed six. Burns, Elyse Mead and Limerick also delivered two service aces apiece. Coach Mead praised the Chargers’ disciplined play and credited the setters for spreading the offense and getting Eash involved in the attack. West Noble returns home to face Prairie Heights for Senior Night on Thursday beginning with the JV match at 6pm. Come out and support the Chargers as they celebrate their four seniors! The West Noble junior varsity volleyball team fell to Wawasee 2-0 Tuesday night, dropping the opening set 25-15 before battling to a close 25-23 finish in the second set. Allie led the Chargers’ offense with six kills, while Dayra Hernandez and Claire Shearer added four apiece. Janie Sitts contributed three kills. Lauren Coy directed the attack with 13 assists, and Shearer added two. On defense, Aliyea Stauffer, Shearer and Allie Stabler each recorded five digs while Coy added 4. Shearer and Brooklyn Barden contributed two service aces apiece. The Chargers put together a stronger second set, pushing Wawasee to the closing points before the Warriors secured the match.
