The West Noble Cross Country Sectional is in the books, and the Lady Chargers are moving on to the Manchester Regional! West Noble finished second in Saturday’s girls race with 78 points, trailing only sectional champion Fort Wayne Carroll’s 33. The runner-up finish advances all seven Lady Chargers to next week’s regional. Karla Dominguez again led West Noble, finishing seventh overall in 19:46.78. Victoria Mendoza placed 15th in 20:53.19, followed by Lynden Chordas in 17th at 21:12.69. Sara Aguilar finished 21st in 21:32.72, and Margarita Marin completed the scoring five in 24th at 21:42.68. The Lady Chargers demonstrated their depth with all seven runners finishing among the top 28. Jacqueline Silva placed 25th in 21:46.89, while Monet Bieberich took 28th in 21:58.67. The boys team experienced a heartbreaking finish, placing sixth with 186 points and falling one spot short of team advancement. Lakeland secured the fifth and final qualifying position with 154 points. Fort Wayne Carroll completed a sweep of the team championships, winning the boys title with 43 points. Two Chargers extended their seasons with individual regional berths. Graysen Ruch led West Noble with a seventh-place finish in 16:52.17. Daniel Trinklein finished 33rd in 18:01.54, joining Ruch among the 15 individual qualifiers from non-advancing teams. Caleb Peterson placed 47th in 18:43.75, followed by Layne Targgart in 49th at 18:54.50 and Rigoberto Bonilla in 50th at 18:56.54 to round out West Noble’s scoring. Braxten Kurtz finished 54th in 19:25.74, and Xadrian Hofmeister placed 55th in 19:28.98. Well done to all of our runners, and congratulations to the Lady Chargers, Graysen and Daniel on advancing! Good luck next week at the Manchester Regional!
