West Noble Varsity Chargers Defeat Garrett Behind Strong Performance From Brooks Ruisard By GameChanger Media Brooks Ruisard was dominant on the mound, as the starting pitcher rang up 13 strikeouts in West Noble Varsity Chargers's 6-0 victory over Garrett on Saturday. Ruisard surrendered two hits and zero runs over seven innings while walking two. West Noble Varsity Chargers got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Mason Taylor grounded out, and Ruisard doubled to center field, each scoring one run. Parker Skelly took the loss for Garrett. The hurler went four and one-third innings, giving up four runs (two earned) on nine hits, striking out seven and walking two. West Noble Varsity Chargers piled up 10 hits in the game. Andrew Deel, West Noble Varsity Chargers's number nine hitter, led the team with three hits in three at-bats. Taylor and Ruisard were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for West Noble Varsity Chargers. Garrett got on the board in the top of the second inning after Camdyn Woods grounded out, Marcus Mitchell grounded out, West Noble Varsity Chargers committed an error, Jackson Ice doubled down the left field line, Lucas Collins doubled to center field, and Parker Skelly singled down the left field line, each scoring one run. West Noble Varsity Chargers tied the game up in the bottom of the third thanks to two singles. West Noble Varsity Chargers tied the game at six on a single by Jordan Eash. West Noble Varsity Chargers captured the lead, 8-6, in the bottom of the fourth after Cameron Eash walked, and West Noble Varsity Chargers scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run. Garrett took the lead in the top of the sixth. Skelly homered to center field, scoring two runs, to give Garrett the upper hand, 9-8. West Noble Varsity Chargers tied the game in the bottom of the seventh thanks to a double by Eash, a passed ball, and a hit by a pitch. Trevor Steele earned the win for West Noble Varsity Chargers. The hurler gave up two hits and two runs over one inning, striking out none and walking three. Eash pitched four innings in relief for West Noble Varsity Chargers. The reliever surrendered four hits and three runs while, striking out six and walking three. Ice took the loss for Garrett. The reliever went three and two-thirds innings, surrendering six runs (five earned) on one hit, striking out nine and walking four. Rolando Villanueva opened the game for West Noble Varsity Chargers. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and six runs (zero earned) over two innings, striking out none and walking one. Jacob Gonya began the game for Garrett. The starting pitcher gave up seven hits and six runs over three innings, striking out one and walking four. Eash went 3-for-5 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in.
