Big First Inning Leads West Noble Varsity Chargers Past Churubusco By GameChanger Media West Noble Varsity Chargers scored five runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Churubusco 7-0 on Thursday. Mason Taylor was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Brooks Ruisard drew a walk, scoring one run, a passed ball scored one run, Trevor Steele singled, scoring one run, and McKale Bottles singled, scoring one run. West Noble Varsity Chargers added one run in the second after West Noble Varsity Chargers scored on a passed ball. Ruisard earned the win for West Noble Varsity Chargers. The starter allowed three hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking two. Ethan Hartsock took the loss for Churubusco. The starter went one inning, surrendering five runs on three hits, striking out two and walking two. Jordan Eash and Steele each collected two hits for West Noble Varsity Chargers. Taylor, Steele, Bottles, and Cameron Eash each drove in one run for West Noble Varsity Chargers. Steele stole three bases. West Noble Varsity Chargers ran wild on the base paths, amassing six stolen bases for the game. West Noble Varsity Chargers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Steele had the most chances in the field with nine. Cameron Patten, AJ Norris, and Deryan Gordon each collected one hit for Churubusco.
