The West Noble girls tennis team continues to improve by leaps and bounds this season by finishing 6th in the NECC girls tennis tourney. The girls were led by Natalia Riegsecker's 2nd place finish in the #1 singles bracket which was good enough to earn the freshman All NECC 1st team honors. At #2 singles, fellow freshman Ava DeLong continues to improve at a rapid rate by finishing 6th. DeLong avenged an earlier loss to a PH player while pushing Angola's #2 singles players to the brink before falling 8-6. Junior Leslei Reyes also played well for the Chargers by defeating Shew of Busco before falling in the 5th place match to Lakeland. At #1doubles , Lilly Stout and Beverly Vizcaino defeated Angola in order to finish 7th. Finally, the #2 doubles team consisting of sophomores Darcy Richie and Aubrey Hilbish won their first match of the tournament on their way to a 4th place finish. The girls will play next in the sectional at East Noble. The draw is Monday at 7pm! Good job ladies!
