The West Noble Chargers defeated the host Central Noble Cougars in the Battle for the Bell on Friday night in convincing fashion 35-8. The Chargers jumped out to a 35-0 halftime lead against the Cougars as the 2nd half was played with a running clock as the Chargers were able to hold off the Cougars despite giving up a touchdown late in the 4th quarter. Coach Monte Mawhorter's defense looked impressive as the Cougars struggled to gain positive yardage against the varsity defense. The Chargers offensively had two passing touchdowns by quarterback Trey Shisler. Xavier Yates and Brayden Limerick each had receiving touchdowns. Yates also had a rushing touchdown. Dustin Richardson had a 35 yard rushing touchdown. Caleb Saggers got the last touchdown of the night on a pick six. Nefty Silva went 5/5 on xtra points. The Chargers will host Wawasee next Friday night on Charger Hill. Go Chargers!
