The West Noble Chargers and Central Noble Cougars battled Saturday night in a thrilling girls soccer contest. The host Chargers got on the scoreboard first by an Allison Recendiz goal. The Cougars answered with a goal of their own by Madilyn Skinner to tie it 1-1. West Noble's Gimena Aguilar scored on a header midway through the second half before the Cougars once again answered with an Autumn Oliver goal late in regulation. And then with just 11 seconds left in regulation, Recendiz once again hit the back of the net to give the Chargers a thrilling victory to make their record 6-6-1 on the season and 4-1 in the NECC which lands them in sole possession of 2nd place. Great work ladies! Carolina Garcia had 1 assist for the Chargers while goalkeeper Alessandra Torres played very well with 5 saves. The Chargers will next play on Monday night at home against LaVille starting at 6pm.
